    • Early Years

    Our Early Years classes are the youngest children in the school. 

    We are a one and a half form entry Infant School, which means we intake 45 children across two parallel classes. These classes are called Otters and Hedgehogs.  

    Our curriculum is planned in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

     

     

    The Curriculum

    We follow the EYFS curriculum. This consists of seven areas of learning; there are Prime and Specific areas as shown below. 

    Prime:

    • Communication and Language
    • Personal, Social & Emotional Development
    • Physical Development

    Specific:

    • Mathematics 
    • Literacy 
    • Understanding the World 
    • Expressive Art and Design 

     

     

    Our Topics

    Our year is split into topics, which all our activities and work will revolve around. This provides a cross curricular approach and enables a sound understanding of various subjects.
