    Hello from us! 

    The League of Friends at Ingatestone Infants School has enjoyed huge fundraising success over the past decade, thanks to the dedication of a small group of working parents. Over the years, funds raised have supported the school in so many ways. We have raised money for new carpets, a class set of iPads, high visibility jackets, improvements to play areas and educational resources to support children's learning and much needed reading books! 

    The current small planning group is led by three working mums: Maddy Rooke, Jenny Ashby and Harriet Whyman. Maddy runs her own business from home with PR and events experience, Jenny is a PA at an Investment Bank based in Canary Wharf and Harriet works for the Church of England in Westminster. They all have their youngest children here at the infant school. 

    Harriet will be leaving the League of Friends at the end of this year, as her youngest child is now in Year 2. The League of Friends are therefore keen to welcome some new members to the group, with a view to gradually taking over and helping to keep us going strong. 

    How you can help:

    Fundraising events are closely linked to our village community and include much-loved occasions such as Firework Night, Christmas Bazaar and Easter Eggstravaganza. Please see our events calendar and posters for more information about these exciting events. 

    There are several ways you can help support our school but the three main ones are:

    • Donate: You can make a donation through our GoFundMe page or by using the QR code.
    • Donate items: Contributions such as ice poles and baked goods for our after school sales.
    • Volunteer: You can give your time to help at our events.

    • Buy Stikins labels and avoid losing your child’s school uniform – LoF receives a commission for every purchase.

    Other simple and easy things you can do are:

    • Come along to cake and sweet sales, treat yourself and your child.

    • Allow your child to participate in any events run within school hours, such as crazy hair or non-school uniform days.

    • Buy a raffle ticket or bid on our online auction.

    If you would like to make a larger contribution:

    • Come along to one of our informal meetings, bring your thinking cap and think outside the box.
    • Each September we need Class Representatives to promote events within class groups and get everybody involved. 
    • Contribute towards events such as our annual Firework display or Christmas Bazaar – whether it’s an idea, a donation, volunteering at the event or persuading sponsors.
    • Join our League of Friends whatsapp chat - We really are open to seeing new faces, with ideas big or small.

    It takes a wonderful group of people to bring these events together, so any time, donations or support you can offer are greatly appreciated.
