Events throughout the year

Ingatestone Infant School is certainly a busy place. There is always something going on which brings the whole school together. Our events may be school trips, celebrations, annual traditions or inspired by global events or charities that we are supporting for that year.

One thing is certain, we always have lots and lots of fun!

World Thinking Day - February 2023

It was brilliant to see so many pupils in the guide or scout movements wearing their uniforms proudly to school to mark World Thinking Day along with other children from around the world.

i-Rock Assembly - December 2022

It was fantastic to welcome Rory from iRock to our school to lead a special assembly and to tell us more about being in a band. The children enjoyed singing along and playing instruments. It was also a pleasure to welcome parents to the assembly so that they could find out more about the music lessons.

Children in Need - November 2022

It was wonderful to see the children supporting Children in Need and we managed to raise £117.  WELL DONE EVERYONE!

Macmillan charity day - September 2022

Macmillan

It was also fabulous to welcome all the children through the school gates in a range of different shades of green to raise money for MacMillan. We would like to thank everyone, especially our League of Friends, for organising a cake sale to support the amazing work of the MacMillan nurses.

Country Dancing - July 2022

What a fantastic morning we had country dancing!  Each class learnt their own dance and the whole school participated in the circassian circle!  The adults also joined in too!

Author Visit

The children enjoyed a visit from a local author - Tersha Cutmore and had the opportunity to enjoy the story 'Luca the Lion'.

World Book Day - March 2022

It has been an exciting week in school and we have certainly enjoyed ‘Multi Cultural Week’. During the week it has been fabulous seeing the children working with different staff and visiting different countries to find out about a variety of places within the Commonwealth. We have also enjoyed seeing the children challenging each other in their mini games and we know the food tasting was very tasty. We would like to thank all the staff, parent volunteers and League of Friends for making it a special week for the children.

Sports Day - June 2022

What a fabulous sports day we had in school!. Welcoming parents, carers and family members back to school for this event was very special indeed and we thought the children were fantastic. Thank you to everyone who came along to cheer the children on.
